Where are you located?
We are conveniently located in the heart of Simi Valley, between Erringer and First, at the intersection of Donville, in the Fedex/Kinko’s parking lot. Our address is 1542 E. Los Angeles Ave., Unit F Simi Valley, CA 93065.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00am-6:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am-3:00pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday.
Can we visit?
Absolutely! We welcome you to visit our fully functional retail location where we are happy to assist our local and visiting customers.
Where can you ship?
We ship almost anywhere in the world. If your state or country is not on the list at checkout, just email info@raceprephobbies.com to discuss additional options.
Can I pickup my orders?
Sure! Please choose pick-up as your shipping option at time of checkout and we will get the order ready for you. Race Prep Hobbies attempts to process all orders within 48 hours of order submission. Please call us at 805-582-0005 if you would like to pick up an order sooner to ensure all items are in stock. You are also welcome to place a note in the "Special Instructions" section of the order form to let us know when you will stopping by.
Can I return items purchased from Race Prep Hobbies?
The simple answer in most cases is Yes. PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS ON ELECTRONICS OR ELECTRONIC RELATED ITEMS SUCH AS RADIOS, SERVOS, BATTERIES, ETC. We also cannot accept for return any item that has been used (and yes, we can tell!). Please contact us within 48 hours of receipt of your order if the items you received were damaged in transit by sending an email to returns@raceprephobbies.com. If you need to return an item because it isn’t what you were interested in or you have changed your mind, in most cases we will accept your return for 30 days from the date the order was received by you. All returns must be pre-authorized by our sales team at Returns@raceprephobbies.com. You are responsible for the cost of the return shipping. We strongly recommend you insure the return shipment. We cannot be held liable for uninsured returns lost, damaged or destroyed in transit. ALL RETURNS MUST BE IN NEW, RESELLABLE CONDITION WITH ALL OF THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING. No exceptions! If accepted, we will refund the purchase price only, not the original shipping cost or the return shipping cost. What happens if my car/part doesn't work?
All of the items we sell come with a manufacturer’s warranty. In some cases, you will handle the issue directly with the manufacturer. In other cases, we can assist you with the problem. Please contact us at Warranty@raceprephobbies.com and we will determine what needs to happen from there. The bottom line is, we stand behind our store and our products and we will do everything in our power to make sure your experience is a good one.
Do you ship Internationally?
Yes! We love our international customers :). The only limitation at this time is the maximum box size allowable by the Post Office to your country. Boxes that exceed your country’s maximum size allowable can be shipped via UPS or DHL. We will notify you if this is the case before we process your order as the shipping costs can be significantly higher than the estimate. Check with us via e-mail to info@raceprephobies.com regarding a specific car or a specific country's size limits.
How much does it cost to ship Internationally?
All shipping charges are estimated. International shipping estimates given at the time of the order are for authorization only. The actual shipping charges will be calculated at the time the order is processed. If your shipment will cost more than the estimate we will contact you for authorization before processing the order. In most cases the "estimate" is higher than the actual charges. We ship international orders via the Post Office, except for Canada which is shipped via UPS Standard. International customers are responsible for all taxes, tariffs, duties or other charges associated with purchasing our products.
When will I get my order?
Most orders of in stock items are shipped within 1-2 business days from the date they are placed. We ship orders Tuesday through Friday. If an item is unexpectedly out of stock and your order will not ship in this time frame we will contact you via e-mail to give you our best estimate on the situation. We are located in California. UPS Ground is 1 day shipping to most of southern California; 2 days to the rest of CA and most of NV, UT and AZ; 3 days to the rest of NV, WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, CO, NM, OK, AK, HI and part of TX; 4 days to the rest of TX, most of ND, SD, NE, KS, most of MN, IA, MO, AR, LA, WI, IL, MS, AL, GA, FL, TN, KY, IN, MI, OH, PA, MD, DE, NJ, CT, RI, NH, MA and parts of WV, VA, NC, SC; and 5 days to ME, VT, NY, and the remaining parts of the United States not served within 4 days. Expedited shipping times (3 day, 2 day and overnight) do not include processing times. Your order will not ship the same day it is placed in most cases** If you MUST have an order by a specific date, just e-mail us at info@raceprephobbies.com and we will see if we can help.
Wow! Your shipping charges are high! Why?
Our shipping charges are the actual cost to ship an item or items to you plus a handling fee for the boxes and packing materials. Sometimes when ordering many small items the shipping charges can go up even though it seems the items could all be shipped together. Our system is not perfect! If your shipping charges seem too high, let us know. Put a note in the Special Instructions section of the order form and we will check into it before we process your order. If the higher shipping charges are a result of a system issue we will decrease the cost to you.
What happens if a part is out of stock?
We do the best we can to keep our website up to date. However, if a part or car is out of stock we will notify you of the status of the item as soon as we get your order. To the best of our ability we will let you know when your item will ship to you and we will try to keep you updated periodically as time goes by. If you would consider a possible substitute, just let us know and we will check into that for you.
What are your Holiday Shipping Guidelines?

Holiday Shipping:

Orders must be placed by midnight 12/16/07 to arrive on 12/24/07 via Ground shipping.
Orders placed by midnight 12/18/07 with 3 Day Air shipping will arrive 12/24/07.
Orders placed by midnight 12/19/07 with 2nd Day Air shipping will arrive 12/24/07.
Orders placed by midnight 12/20/07 with Next Day Air shipping will arrive 12/24/07.

**Please note, all shipping guides listed above depend on the shipping service. We will not be held responsible for delays caused by the shipping company. Verifyable shipping company delays will result in a refund of your shipping charges only.**

All orders placed for Christmas delivery under these guidelines are subject to inventory availability. Items fly out of here fast and furious in December and our website inventory is not always as accurate as we would like. If you place an order and the item is not in stock we will contact you as soon as we know this to discuss your options.

**International orders placed in December cannot be guaranteed for delivery before Christmas. Unfortunately, shipping company policies and customs can delay a package beyond our control. Please contact us via e-mail about expedited and guaranteed international delivery availability in December.**
